Spring is finally in full swing and it is time to celebrate! We have been enjoying some fantastic fruity & floral gins at the latest Nottingham Gin Club event GinFo Club. They are perfect for this time of year and showcase what is wonderful about Gin when the sun starts to shine and the weather warms up! So grab yourself a glass, some sunglasses and make one of these G&Ts to enjoy outside this evening!
1. Masons Yorkshire Gin with Rose Lemonade
Masons Yorkshire Gin are a new kid on the block for us but we love them and we also love their brand ambassador Adam! We have enjoyed this Gin paired with Fentimans Rose Lemonade and garnished with a slice of Cucumber! It’s like Turkish Delight mixed with Gin! <3
2. Masons Yorkshire Lavender Gin with 19:05 Herbal Tonic Water
Fentimans 19:05 Herbal Tonic Water has become a little bit of an obsession for us! Since we tasted it with the lovely Zoe from Fentimans we can’t stop drinking it! It goes absolutely perfectly with Masons Lavender Gin (which is uber lovely and floral over ice on its own!) and lime peel… There’s something country about this drink, lots of aromatics, lots of freshness. You’re instantly whisked away to a field on a hot spring day!
3. Jinzu Gin with Pink Grapefruit Tonic Water
Is there anything better than a ice cold pink grapefruit tonic water? Oh yes! All of that paired with the wonderfully delicious Jinzu Gin! If you haven’t already tried this Gin with a Japanese Twist you need to get on to it! It’s delicious, it has sake in it and lots of other gorgeous botanicals including Cherry Blossom! This gin has got a kick that will get you going on a Friday night. Pair this gin and tonic with a slice of green apple or a lime wedge to keep it fresh and crisp.
4. 6 o’clock Damson Gin with Tonic Water
OK so Damsons are not springtime fruit, but stay with us! This juicy number is fantastic with Tonic Water and lashing of ice. It certainly makes you feel like you’re enjoying a hearty gin but with a refreshing spring day vibe. Plus it looks gorgeous in a tall glass with lots of fruit, a perfect alternative to that passé pimms! We love 6 o’clock for their fantastic Damson Gin, it’s very syrupy and perfect on vanilla ice cream too.
5. Edinburgh Elderflower Gin with Tonic Water
Elderflower season is soon to be upon us and what better way to celebrate than with a fantastic Elderflower Gin & Tonic! We love Edinburgh Elderflower Gin it packs the biggest Elderflower punch of them all and it is subtly sweet! Paired with a robust tonic water (we chose the delightful fentimans) this drink is a match made in heaven with a spring day! We paired this beauty with a refreshing wedge of grapefruit which set it off for the evening sun.
Enjoy! Don’t forget to tag us @ginempo with your #FridayFeeling Gin & Tonic of choice!
